Drawing inspiration from the first artistic movement of the 20th century (Fauvism, a radical new approach to painting that incorporate purely expressive, bright, clear colours and wildly sensual forms www.khanacademy.org.) and the oeuvre of is leading artist – Henri Matisse – this collection is a celebration of innocence and contentment.
In a world plagued with a false sense of liberty and overall social anxiety, this collection proposes a light-hearted, carefree attitude inspired by Matisse’s masterpiece ‘Bonheur de Vivre’ (Joy of Life).
Taking a ‘play-dress-up’ approach to the creative process this collection is a personal reflection on identity and the Joy of Life.
