Diogo Miranda

For this season Diogo Miranda turned to Cubism for inspiration. Cubism has been described as the first avant-garde art movement of the 20th century. Drawing inspiration from African and Native American art and sculpture, its practitioners deconstructed European conventions of viewpoint, form and perspective to create flattened, fragmented and revolutionary images characterized by simpler shapes and brighter colours. The designer applied these references using nude colours and playing with grey and brown, contrasted with darker tones such as black.

The materials also oppose, especially with the use of silk, brocade or technical fabrics. The length of the skirts got shorter, pants embrace the legs and shoulders have grown.

A Strong, Sexy and Subtle woman.
