Dielmar dresses the European champions
Dielmar dresses the European champions

We shouted, we suffered, we cried, and euphorically we won the European football championship for the first time ever. Between the duels they fought, the images of the Portuguese players off the playing field that travelled around the world, dressed in suits, were the responsibility of Dielmar.

"Dielmar official tailor to the Portuguese team”, "Our national heroes are on their way back to Portugal in their elegant Dielmar suits!""The European champions cup goes perfectly with the official suits of the Portuguese team!”, were just some of the posts on Dielmar’s Facebook page on the label’s cooperation with the team that won the 2016 European football championship.

Made up of three pieces – jacket, trousers and waistcoat – the Dielmar suits have an exclusive design and, the label guarantees, "follow the current international men’s fashion trends, which gave a careful selection of materials and colours”.

From Beira Interior, more precisely Castelo Branco (the city which is home to the head office and factory of a family company that now employs over 400 people in the region), each suit took about 85 hours to make. "A slim fit suit in semi-traditional construction, the suit is part of the Private line, one of Dielmar’s premium models, "which respects the concept and tradition of tailoring”, allied to a touch of design and modernity.

In this video shared by the label (and recorded before Portugal became the European champion!), you can see the enthusiasm of the employees who contributed to making the Dielmar model that the 23 players in the squad, as well as the entire Portuguese Football Federation delegation, would wear several times in France and in Portugal. Why not take a look at this making of. You’ll enjoy seeing our new national heroes being "model for a day”.
