London, Paris and Milan on Portugal Fashion’s international itinerary

The first quarter of 2016 started off with more international forays by Portugal Fashion, a triple helping this time. Aimed at publicising the proposals from national designers for next autumn/winter and encouraging the marketing of their creations in external markets, Portugal Fashion will be travelling to the three main fashion capitals in Europe.

At London Fashion Week, from 19 to 23 February, Portuguese fashion will have double representation. At the Brewer Street Car Park showroom, the presentation of proposals from Alexandra Moura, Carla Pontes, Daniela Barros and Susana Bettencourt will take a new promotional approach to what Portugal Fashion’s presence in London has represented. With this restricted audience, made up mainly of specialised press and buyers, the four young national designers will have the opportunity to benefit from closer contact, allying this with the exhibition aspect, in a showroom where some fashion performances will also be held.

After the British capital comes Milan, in a programme that will affirm Portugal Fashion abroad. Like the previous event, the proposals from Carlos Gil and Miguel Vieira for the next cold season will be on the catwalk at Milano Moda Donna, which is scheduled for 24 to 29 February. Paris closes Portugal Fashion’s international itinerary for the beginning of this new season, with shows by Luís Buchinho and Diogo Miranda, as part of the Prêt-à-Porter week, on 4 and 5 March, respectively.

Under the scope of ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, Portugal Fashion is a project developed in partnership with ATP Textile and Apparel Association of Portugal, supported by Compete 2020 – Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation, under Portugal 2020.
