Nuno Baltazar: the new shop in downtown Porto and refreshing the label
Nuno Baltazar has moved lock, stock and barrel to downtown Porto and, on 27 June, opened a space that is a mix of a new shop and studio, reflecting the elegance and sophistication that characterise one of the most famous labels on the national fashion scene.

From No. 856 on Avenida da Boavista to No. 37 on Rua do Bolhão. That was the distance travelled by Nuno Baltazar to his new shop, opened on Wednesday, 27 June. This 140 square metres area is home to the creations from recent seasons and is ready to design those that are still to come.

"I was really in need of a change”, Nuno Baltazar confided to Vogue Portugal. He said that he no longer identified with the setting of the old shop and what he really wanted was a space that corresponded to the current aesthetics of the label. Downtown was the ideal location for the new home to Nuno Baltazar's label, benefiting from the many tourists visiting Porto now. Although the walls and floor are still bare, the clothes set out give life to the shop with the colours, elegance and luxury that are in the DNA of the label, and reflected in the mirrors making up the space.

An event which, apart from customers and friends, was also attended by designer colleagues such as Luís Buchinho, Pedro Pedro and Diogo Miranda, all of whom have a place on the Portugal Fashion catwalk.
