Portugal Fashion opens its doors to national jewellery producers
The 38th Portugal Fashion will be opening its doors to Portuguese jewellery producers in an exhibition that can be visited at the Porto Customs House Auditorium on 18 (Friday, between 2:30 pm and 11 pm) and 19 (Saturday, between 1:30 pm and 23.30 pm) March. On display will be jewellery from 10 producers in the jewellery sector. This is aimed at revealing a broader view of this activity, which is part of the fashion industry.

Rosior (José Rosas), Ouropa (José Manuel Marques), F&A Joalheiros (Joaquim Almeida), Arlindo Moura, Barbosa Design (Américo Barbosa), PCO Jewellery, (Pedro Castro), António Martins Castro (Joaquim Castro), Gumus (António Marinho), Pura Filigrana (Márcio Coelho) and Matter Jewellery Tales (Sara Coutinho) are the producers that will be at the exhibition. This initiative resumes the integration of jewellery into the Portugal Fashion calendar. In the past, the event has had fashion shows and showrooms devoted to the sector and its return is aimed at demonstrating the entrepreneurial potential inherent to these activities, which are now going through a period of renovation and expansion.

The exhibition is also a result of a partnership between ANJE, the organiser of Portugal Fashion, and Gondomar Municipal Council, with a view to encouraging young entrepreneurs in the jewellery sector. In the opinion of João Rafael Koehler, President of ANJE, "by exhibiting jewellery during the 38th Portugal Fashion, we are also promoting the visibility of the sector at an event that attracts specialised fashion audiences, in particular the press, buyers, investors and public decision-makers”.
